Faith, even in bad times

Though the fig tree dose not bud
and there are no grapes on the vines,
though the olive crop fails
and the fields produce no food,
though there are no sheep in the pen
and no cattle in the stalls,

yet I will rejoice in the LORD,
I will be joyful in God my Savior.

-Habakkuk 3:17-18

Notes: Habakkuk has learned the lesson of faith - to trust in God's providence regardless of circumstances. He declares that even if God should send sufferring and loss, he would still rejoice in God his Savior - one of the strongest affirmations of faith in all Scripture.
