Hello folks!
So much has happened since I flew to Thailand on the 1st Dec, and wow look - its been two weeks since I had written anything. I have so much to tell you but while I sort my thoughts and past events out, I have another excerpt from The Time Traveler's Wife to share with you.
~*~*~*~
We are walking down the street, holding hands. There's a play-ground at the end of the block and I run to the swings and climb on, and Henry takes the one next to me, facing the opposite direction, and we swing higher and higher, passing each other, sometimes in synch and sometimes streaming past each other so fast it seems like we're going to collide, and we laugh, and laugh, and nothing can ever be sad, no one can be lost, or dead, or far away: right now we are here, and nothing can mar our perffection, or steal the joy of this perfect moment.

~*~*~*~
I have chosen this particular paragraph because of its significance in the story (its very subtle, yes) and also because the author has used only simple words and has successfully painted that picture of that moment, that joy, and that carefree-ness which Henry and Clare do not always have. Beautiful.
Of course, the book is kinda like a good CD as well. It just gets better, and 'that' feeling just sinks into you as you read more. It's so touching but not in the kind of romantic mushy word or erotic display manner, but rather, just so believable... yes.
Do you think that Love can really can overcome impossible obstacles in spite of time?
