M left today.
And so I feel like it's time to close another chapter. Put away memories of good times. Stash the smiles and jokes into a box and tuck it under the bed.
He will return to his home, his familiar surroundings, his loved ones. I remain here, in my familiar surroundings, back into my jam-packed schedules.
Life goes on.
I hate it. But it will continue. Not once does it wait for me.
I'm overwhelmed with sadness.
