Cavatina

Long time ago when Ziyang came over to Gothenburg after my spring semester, we were walking in the shopping centre (yeah the large and only one near the train station).. and there was this talented man playing the guitar. The piece just struck me there and there. And all of a sudden, I recall this feeling tonight.

And i'm not even sure what is this thing, this intangible emotion.

You know, it's not wrong when my friends and parents tell me that I'm strange. And most of the time, I'm not even pretending. I'm just like this. I don't know why. Sometimes I can't sleep at night cos I have something on my mind. Oh i'm sure thousands of people feel this way sometime or another at 2am. Everything goes back to normal when I wake up and go to work, meet my clients and then off to another rehearsal. Isn't it?

Edit: Yeah I took this video with my camera. I really think that guy is so musical.. he doesn't play great like a lot of classical guitarist but with such emotion and musicality. Which, to me, is more important than technique. Btw, Yang recognised the song. He told me it's called Cavatina, I never quite verified this but what the heck. By the time we reached the Öland hostel, I tried playing it from memory but couldn't find the chords correctly. When we returned to Singapore, he found the song and sent it to me online but I think its lost with the demise of my IBM. Maybe I will be able to play the chords tonight. Nice song eh?

And no, I do not miss Yang in that way. In fact sometimes I'm amazed I feel so indifferent. Maybe I'm so heartless or either that, so wise. Some people still don't believe its possible to get over a long (and rather deep) relationship but trust me, I did. Though not overnight. It took quite a while actually. Anyway ANYWAY, this is just about relating to that feeling which I had when I first heard the piece. I know you'll understand.
