Sorry to MW and family

I would like to start this post by wishing MW and her family peace and rest through this tough time. I'm saddened and shocked to hear about her bro's suicide and can't imagine what they are possibly going through. I don't know MW very well, and as a fellow pianist, we met mostly through music. But I was at her place just 2 weeks ago, and everything seemed fine. Saw her bro too. Sigh, you really can't tell what's going on with a person by looking at surface circumstances, can you? No you can't. Not a bit. I'm sorry, and I feel sad for her.

Apart from that, I had a crappy work week. Had clients threatening me, boss chiding me regarding how I handled the situation, and boy, I felt pissed. But I'm really getting good at shelving work emotions aside once I leave the office. Wham, i'm out, it's all behind me. My life starts when my work ends. Work is a means to pay the bills. Enough is good. I'm grateful. I'm very aware it'll NEVER fulfill me ever in any way. I think people need to realise that... it's very useful to remember that. Cos a job really is just a function within an organisation. Someday, everyone, including myself, will receive a last paycheck from the company. Maybe you quit, maybe you retire, maybe you get retrenched, whatever. Then what happens? Nothing. They hire a new person, and everything moves on. I deem all that as "chasing the wind"...I do. It doens't mean I'm gonna slack in my job, I just do not wish to deliberately clamour for money and glamour or worse, seek my security in false pride or false power.

Just my thoughts.
