There are just some days where you feel alone. Evenings where couples stand out on every street, and romance shuns you. Bus rides along familiar streets leave you troubled. The strange hours in the day and night when you miss your soulmate. Very much. You wonder where he is, you wonder how he is, you wonder if he's happy, you secretly hope for him to think about you occasionally. You crave for the deep connection that you share with him. The romantic 'a penny for your thoughts' gestures. The moments when looking at him at work brings out a smile inside your heart. The tingle you feel when he locks your hand tightly with his sure fingers. Such and such.
You try not to feel confused. You try not to tear. You ask yourself if you miss the good times or you miss the person. You find it hard to be totally honest with yourself because you're afraid the answer would be the latter.
You say a prayer. You ask yourself to brace up and move forward. You remind yourself that he walked out of you in a phone call with words that bled. You remember that he no longer cares. Then suddenly, you are filled with certain bitterness and regret for the mistakes, but yet mixed with gratefulness for the chance to become a better person. But at what cost?
Time's up.
Life hurries you along.
